15th – 17th May 2015
UCLan present an exhibition selected from postgraduate and undergraduate fine art, drawing and image making students. The exhibition is curated by MA students Benjamin Davies and Kelly Hayes in response to the specific context of the magnificent, if faded, bar room at Preston’s former Post Office building. The work presented reflects the diverse and interdisciplinary nature of contemporary art practice, including digital work, drawing, painting, sculpture and performance-based work. The curators exploit the peculiarities of this unique space, echoing the now familiar pattern of development across many UK cities where artists populate-run down areas and revitalise them.
Exhibitors include: Daveid Darbyshire, Samantha Pickett, Tina Dempsey, Cliff Richards, Mark Smith, Tim Nikrooz, Gary Wiggins, Nick Norcross, Benjamin Davies, Kelly Hayes and Kathryn Poole
